La Tenería “Buena Vista” figura entre ellas. Los inmuebles que conformaron esta industria excepcionalmente perviven, pero lo hacen acomodados a nuevos usos y funciones que barren con las memorias de su pasado ligado al curtido del cuero y desconocen su esencia industrial. El presente estudio tiene como objetivo interpretar ideológica, instrumental y emocionalmente desde una perspectiva sociocultural, con la finalidad de gestarla como patrimonio cultural, material, inmueble en función del interés público. Sobre esta base, la investigación orienta sus objetivos específicos a reconstruir la memoria histórica de la Tenería “Buena Vista”; caracterizar los procesos tecno-productivos del curtido de cuero que particularmente allí se sucedieron; inventariarla y esbozar una propuesta para su gestión, aludiendo a los valores patrimoniales que derivan a la Tenería “Buena Vista”, como legado del siglo XX al Patrimonio Industrial de Cienfuegos Cuba.Palabras clave: Tenería “Buena Vista”, patrimonio cultural  industrial, valores patrimoniales, cuero, prácticas tecno-productivas, memoria histótica ABSTRACTThe twentieth century bequeathed to the city of Cienfuegos a network of small industries that were harmonized with the urban segregation of that time. "Buena Vista" Tannery is among them. The buildings that made up this industry exceptionally survive, but they do it with new uses and functions that sweep the memories of its past, linked to leather tanning and ignoring its industrial essence. The present study proposes to interpret ideologically, instrumentally and emotionally, from a sociocultural perspective, with the purpose of creating it as a cultural, material, and real estate heritage based on the public interest. On this basis, the research orientates its specific objectives to reconstruct the historical memory of the "Buena Vista" Tannery; characterizing the techno-productive processes of leather tanning that particularly occurred there; to register it and to outline a proposal for its management, referring to the patrimonial values ​​that derive from the "Buena Vista" Tannery, as a legacy of the 20th century to the Industrial Heritage of Cienfuegos, Cuba.Keywords:“Buena Vista” Tannery, industrial cultural heritage, heritage values, leather, techno-productive practices, historic memory.
