Universidad, Cultura y Sociedad: una mirada desde la carrera de Licenciatura en Estudios Socioculturales

Resumen

Las universidades como instituciones sociales deben preservar, desarrollar y promover a través de sus procesos sustantivos y en estrecho vínculo con la sociedad, la cultura de la humanidad. Teniendo en cuenta esta problemática el trabajo que se presenta tiene como objetivo analizar la relación cultura, universidad y sociedad a partir del impacto social de la carrera Licenciatura en Estudios Socioculturales. Para el desarrollo del mismo se hace uso de la metodología cualitativa a través del método estudio de caso único en su modalidad histórica organizativa por el carácter crítico de dicho estudio. Con el impacto social que tiene la carrera objeto de estudio se puede plantear que en efecto hemos revalorizado en el quehacer de nuestras universidades la misión cultural, a fin de fortalecer nuestras raíces culturales y nuestra identidad ante las amenazas de una cultura uniforme y globalizada, lo que demuestra que en la actualidad los retos de la preparación del docente a partir de la formación del futuro profesional son cada vez más crecientes.

ABSTRACT

The universities like social institutions should preserve, to develop and to promote, through their processes and in a narrow bond with the society, the humanity's culture. Keeping in mind the problem, the work that shows up, has as objective to analyze the relationship culture, university and society starting from the social impact of the career in Sociocultural Studies. For the development of the same one, the use of the qualitative methodology is made through the method study of unique case in its historical organizational modality for the critical character of this study. With the social impact that has the career object of study, we can plant that indeed we have revalued in the chore of our universities the cultural mission, in order to strengthen our cultural roots and our identity before the threats of a uniform and globalized culture, what demonstrates that at the present time the challenges of the preparation of the educational one, starting from the formation of the professional future are growing.
