Tecnociencia y Ética

Resumen

Los temas de tecnociencia, responsabilidad y ética son asuntos de primer orden en los estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología, en tanto van dirigidos al desarrollo de actitudes científicas que posibilitan investigar y comprender los problemas sociales y su naturaleza, lo que implica valoraciones éticas que corresponden a científicos, tecnólogos y políticos. La acertada definición de tecnociencia y el debate ético que se establece a partir de la relación existente entre valores e intereses permite una mejor comprensión de los estudios sociales de la ciencia y la tecnología. En este artículo se evidencian estos elementos tomando en consideración el desarrollo tecnocientífico y sus implicaciones éticas en la contemporaneidad. La comprensión de esta relación desde la perspectiva social de la ciencia y la tecnología permite concluir que ante el indiscutible desarrollo de la tecnociencia es necesario poner la responsabilidad social y la ética como acciones fundamentales para el bienestar común.

ABSTRACT

The topics of techno science, responsibility and ethics are matters of the first order in the social studies of science and technology, while they are aimed at the development of scientific attitudes that make it possible to investigate and understand social problems and their nature, which implies ethical assessments, which correspond to scientists, technologists and politicians. The correct definition of techno science and the ethical debate that is established based on the relationship between values and interests allows a better understanding of the social studies of science and technology. In this article, these elements are evidenced taking into account the techno scientific development and its ethical implications in contemporary times. The understanding of this relationship from the social perspective of science and technology allows us to conclude that in the face of the undisputed development of techno science it is necessary to place social responsibility and ethics as fundamental actions for the common welfare.
