El "Tap dance" como género músico-danzario. Su desarrollo en Cuba.

Resumen

El presente artículo está direccionado al análisis del "Tap dance" como género músico-danzario en Cuba y su evolución. El “Tap dance” es un estilo distintivo que presenta sus propias características y elementos esenciales que lo enmarcan y definen. La descripción de dicho estilo hace un acercamiento que posibilita sentar las bases para el análisis de su práctica en Cuba.El hecho de no ser el "Tap dance" un género oriundo de nuestro país, pero sí ejecutado por algunos cubanos que manifestaron la hibridación de este género con el folclor cubano, lo convirtieron entonces en un hecho atípico, presto a ser estudiado por su peculiaridad.

ABSTRACT

This article focuses on the analysis of "Tap dance" as a musical-dance genre in Cuba and its evolution. The "Tap dance" is a distinctive style that presents its own characteristics and essential elements that frame and define it. The description of this style makes an approach that makes it possible to lay the foundations for the analysis of its practice in Cuba. The fact of not being the "Tap dance" a native genre of our country, but executed by some Cubans who manifested the hybridization of this genre with the Cuban folklore, turned it then into an atypical fact, ready to be studied by its peculiarity.
