Abstract

ABSTRACT

The research responds to a marked interest in sociohistorical studies, emphasizing our main traditions, ways of life and ultimately our identity elements. With it, it is intended to respond to its general objective: to describe the partying of Caibarién as an identity cultural practice. A qualitative methodological perspective was used, based on techniques for collecting information such as the semi-structured interview, participant observation and document analysis. It was also based on an ethnographic design, which pursues the description or analytical reconstruction of an interpretative nature of the culture, ways of life and social structure of the investigated group; in this specific case: the party. Everything that was making possible the results obtained, where the partying is part of the cultural identity of the people of Caibarien, being the effect of a long process of historical evolution that continues until today
