The research focuses on the inclusion of the gender perspective in the historiography of Villaclareña after the Cuban revolution. Using the qualitative paradigm, the dynamics of historical and sociocultural processes related to the role of women in the development of local historiography are analyzed. It is based on the ethnographic method and historical scientific content analysis is used as the main research technique. The document highlights the importance of recognizing the female contribution to scientific and technological development, as well as the need to expand the participation of women in these areas of knowledge. It also mentions the difficulties that women have faced in participating in the field of knowledge and calls for considering men and women equally when understanding the past. The research focuses on the role of women in the historiography of Villaclareña after the revolution. It seeks to define the fundamental postulates of the role of women in historiography and identifies outstanding women in the region. The changes that have promoted the demands of women at the regional level since the triumph of the revolution are analyzed.Keywords: Cuban historiography, Gender perspective, Cuban revolution, Villa Clara.
