The Signos Magazine as a cultural practice that endorses the Cuban identity

Abstract

The investigation reported in this report describes the magazine Signos as a cultural practice that endorses Cuban identity. It is proposed from a qualitative perspective, to characterize the elements that are present in the publication as an identity cultural practice, in terms of the distinctive components that make it up and permanence of the themes. For this, the research uses documentary analysis as an essential method and is supported by techniques such as interviews with experts and the bibliographical-documentary review, essential in socio-historical studies. The results suggest that the Signos magazine reflects the very essence of the Cuban, our sense of being, our origin, our history, our sense of belonging and with it our values. Concluding that in its evolution there is a concordance with the objective for which it was created, enriching itself with the most current emerging of our Cuban identity.
