The Marfan syndrome and technological applicability in Therapeutic physical culture

Abstract

Marfan syndrome, a rare disease, with great variability in terms of clinical manifestations and severity. The lack of knowledge of risk factors, related to inadequate lifestyles, hinders compliance with daily care and the physical rehabilitation process. The objective of this study is to synthesize the theoretical references in the scientific and technological development of Marfan syndrome that affect the physical rehabilitation process of Marfan syndrome in therapeutic physical culture. The following methods were used: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, observation, interview and mathematical method. These allowed us to know the criteria of different authors in the scientific literature, the clinical characteristics and the impact of physical exercise. Benefits were identified in the development and application of science and technology in physical rehabilitation. Conclusions and recommendations were reached based on scientific evidence, for its application in the field of Therapeutic Physical Culture, emphasizing the need for the applicability of scientific and technological advances in the care of patients with Marfan syndrome by professionals of therapeutic physical culture.
