The agrotourism heritage itinerary of rice planting in Aguada de Pasajeros as a social technology.
Abstract
The current Cuban university promotes undergraduate and graduate training in various disciplines, fields and approaches of the Social Sciences, in order to identify and propose solutions to the various sociocultural problems that affect local development. One of the approaches that is transversal to development in all areas of society is the role of social technologies as tools for heritage management. For this reason, this research aims to analyze the agrotourism heritage itinerary of rice planting in Aguada de Pasajeros as a social technology. The research is based on the perspective of social studies of Science and Technology and was approached from sociocultural and heritage theoretical approaches. To prepare the agrotourism itinerary, the Methodological Guide for the Elaboration of Cultural Itineraries proposed by a group of authors was used. As a result of the research, the design of the agro-tourism heritage itinerary is shown, which has fostered the link between the Aguada community and rice planting as a cultural heritage of the territory.
