Legal education strategy from the science, technology and society approach.
Abstract
Education in Cuba constitutes the essential support for the development of culture in its different facets, including legal culture. In the particular case of teaching at the basic secondary level, legal education becomes essential for adolescents' understanding and conscious use of rights and duties, while also shaping civic behavior in accordance with the law. The objective of this research was to design a legal education strategy mediated by the use of information and communication technologies from the Science, Technology, and Society perspective that contributes to the development of legal culture among ninth-grade students at José de la Luz Basic Secondary School in the municipality of Cruces. Various theoretical methods were used for the development of this research, such as logical-historical analysis, analytical-synthetic analysis, and inductive-deductive analysis, combined with empirical methods such as document analysis, observation, interviews, and surveys. The SPSS package, version 25, was used to process the collected data. The innovative approach designed lies in its integrative approach based on the principle of lifelong learning, integrating legal aspects into the general educational approach from a cross-cutting perspective. It also strengthens the connection between law and its practical application in students' social environments—school, family, and community—through strategic actions that include technological tools.
