Methodology for the management of scientific events at the University of Havana.
Abstract
Scientific events, as a form of socialization of the results of scientific research, constitute a priority objective in Cuban universities, for which an efficient management of the process becomes necessary. From this perspective, the objective of the research was to elaborate a methodology for the management of scientific events, in correspondence with the needs of the University of Havana. During the research process, theoretical, empirical and statistical methods were used to diagnose the current situation of the management of scientific events at the University of Havana and to scientifically support a methodology proposal for the management of these events. The Vester matrix, the SWOT matrix and the innovated balance of power matrix, allowed identifying the gaps that prevent the adequate management of scientific events and the achievement of the desired results. A methodology proposal was elaborated for the management of scientific events at the University of Havana, composed of stages, phases, actions, methods and elements for its implementation; which is characterized by being flexible, innovative, participative and systemic. The application of the ANOCHI method in the validation carried out through the consultation to experts, evidenced a favorable criterion in relation to the relevance, pertinence, adaptability and effectiveness of the proposed methodology, which allows confirming the theoretical and methodological value of the result of the research and the possibility of its introduction in practice.
