The power purshase agreement in Cuba

Abstract

With the promulgation and entry into force of Decree Law 345¨ On the development of renewable sources and the efficient use of energy¨ on November 28, 2019, the opportunity to enter into the Cuban legal system for the first time execute energy purchase and sale contracts by carrying out projects that create new renewable energy infrastructures with the participation of independent producers.In the article the abundant international experiences in the construction of these types of legal businesses are analyzed and an approach is made towards the way in which, using current Cuban laws, said international experiences can be tempered to the concrete conditions of Cuba.
