Complementary program for the development of environmental education in 7th-grade students
Abstract
Environmental education constitutes one of the main components of the curriculum for Basic Secondary Education, due to the urgent need today to care for and protect the environment by all people living in the world. This education should be aimed at promoting values, habits, skills, and strengthening the environmental awareness of students, so that these are later translated into commitment and ethics. As a result of the application of the initial diagnosis, an insufficient development of environmental education in Basic Secondary Education is observed. Due to the importance of this topic, a complementary program is proposed for the development of environmental education in seventh-grade students.
