Health promotion and healthy lifestyles in the Cardenense university context
Abstract
The present study aimed to propose actions that contribute to the promotion of healthy lifestyles through health promotion among third-year students in the Cultural Management for Development program at the Municipal University Center of Cárdenas. The methodological procedure used was qualitative in nature, supported by theoretical methods such as the historical–logical, analytical–synthetic, and inductive–deductive methods, as well as empirical methods including non-participant observation, document analysis, focus groups, and in-depth interviews. Data processing was carried out through data triangulation. The results revealed insufficient actions contributing to the promotion of healthy lifestyles through health promotion among third-year students in the Cultural Management for Development program at the Municipal University Center of Cárdenas, which supported the relevance of the study. It was concluded that the designed actions significantly contributed to fostering healthy lifestyles within the university community, with the aim of caring for health in an effective and sustainable manner.
