Values in integral education: a perspective from José Martí

Abstract

The work of José Martí is a pedagogical resource for value education and integral learning. Their ethical principles are fundamental to building a more just and humane society. The breadth of his work allows to promote values such as: justice, freedom, respect, responsibility, loyalty, humility from the spaces of formation of the university student. The objective is to exemplify through a didactic alternative the influence of the Martian work on value education. Methods such as documentary analysis and classroom observation were used. With a qualitative approach, Martian texts were analyzed in an integral manner through debate and teaching activities aimed at the axiological formation of students
