El extraño suceso de unas caricaturas
Resumen
El arte cienfueguero ha realizado no pocas contribuciones a la historia de la creación artística de la isla. Una de las más admirables es la primera caricatura hecha en Cuba, en el año 1833. Este artículo propone un análisis histórico y semiótico de la embestida gráfica y literaria lanzada contra Louis Declouet, el Fundador de la Villa Fernandina de Jagua. La investigación tiene por objeto incorporar nuevos contenidos a la historia del arte cubano y fortificar la identidad de los pobladores de la Perla del Sur.

ABSTRACT
The art cienfueguero has carried out many contributions to the history of the artistic creation of the island. One of the most admirable is the first cartoon made in Cuba, in the year 1833. This article proposes a historical analysis and semiotic of the graphic and literary conceived against Louis Declouet, the Founder of the Villa Fernandina of Jagua. The investigation has for object to incorporate new contents to the history of the Cuban Art and to fortify the identity of the residents of the Perla of the South.
