ABSTRACT

In Cuba, with the changes made to its economic model, the creation of micro, small and medium enterprise have been promoted. The managers should apply the principles of the accounting and administrative sciences in order to achieve successful management. The development of the emotional intelligence, provides individual of a tool to face the demands imposed by the environment in which they carry out its activities. The objective of this study was to enhance the emotional intelligence in the directive of the Primaveral enterprise of Ranchuelo town, through the design of a plan of actions. The level of the directive emotional intelligence was diagnosed using the Trait Goal-Mood Scale 24, which shows a high correlation among the items, which allows to affirm its reliability. The results showed that male managers at the Primaveral enterprise of Ranchuelo town, difficulties have affect men and their feelings and thoughts, defining their feelings, according to their self-perception, and how they feel about their emotions. On the other hand, female managers obtained good qualifications in all the aspects analyzed. An action plan was designed to enhance the emotional intelligence of the managers and workers of the enterprise. The conclusions reached are that male managers at the Primaveral enterprise of Ranchuelo town have an appropriate perception of emotions, but it does not reach an optimal level but, the female managers had more homogeneous and higher scores than men, which indicates the need to develop the emotional intelligence within the enterprise.
