Authors

Abstract

The article addresses the promotion of inclusion in universities through knowledge management, in a context where diversity has become a strength, especially in the educational field. As inclusive education is recognized as a right, the importance of creating equitable environments that respect individual differences in terms of culture, gender, race, and abilities is emphasized. The study employs the Criteria Importance method to analyze effective strategies that facilitate the creation and distribution of accessible and innovative knowledge. Through a comprehensive literature review and data collection via surveys and interviews, successful practices were identified, such as the use of accessible digital technologies and teacher training in inclusive knowledge management. The results indicate that proper teacher training is fundamental for the success of inclusive initiatives. Recommendations are proposed to adapt knowledge management strategies to the specific realities of each university, highlighting that greater inclusion benefits not only benefit students but also enriches the educational community and society at large. Promoting inclusion contributes to a more equitable and diverse learning environment, improving academic performance, fostering empathy, and preparing students to interact in a globalized world. Thus, it is established that knowledge management is key to breaking down barriers and fostering the full participation of all members of the academic community.
