UNIFILM program insights into the practical application of legal knowledge
Abstract
As a result of the growing gap between theory and practice in higher education, the influence of the UNIFILM Program on the evolution of Law students at the Regional Autonomous University of the Andes "UNIANDES", Tulcán campus, was consolidated through this research. Using a qualitative methodology, more direct information was sought that included field research methods, such as an interview with the creator of the program and a compilation of its impact on the academic development of future jurists. The most illuminating results demonstrated that the lack of teaching aids such as UNIFILM left gaps in the learning of such essential skills as social communication. It was concluded that the UNFILM Program had a great contribution, although it added the necessary perspective of its expansion, either with interdisciplinary links or with teaching that has a more direct focus on real life, thus preparing solid foundations for future legal professionals.
