Types of Organizations in the Associative Sector: An Analysis of Their Income-Generating Capacity

Authors

Abstract

This study analyzed the different types of organizations in the associative sector to evaluate their capacity to generate income. The research emerged from the need to understand how these entities, which do not seek profit, can develop sustainable financing strategies. The main objective was to identify the most effective organizational models in terms of income generation, as well as the internal and external factors influencing their economic success. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was employed, combining qualitative analysis of case studies with a quantitative approach through surveys of various organizations in the sector. The results revealed that organizations that diversified their income sources, integrating commercial activities with their social mission, achieved greater financial stability. Significant differences were also identified among organizations based on their structure and size. It was concluded that, to maximize their income-generating capacity, organizations should implement hybrid models that combine internal and external resources. Recommendations focused on the professionalization of management and the development of strategic alliances as key mechanisms for sustainability.
