Arquímedes Pous: El negrito por excelencia del teatro Bufo Cubano

Resumen

El teatro bufo cubano, es una expresión teatral que surge tras un extenso período de gestación histórica en el cual confluyeron los elementos que en los planos filosófico, político y cultural dieron cuenta de la conciencia de la nacionalidad junto a aquellos que conformarían su particular forma artística. El bufo era un teatro satírico y paródico que atendió a la escena antes que al texto literario. Dentro de los mayores exponentes de nuestro país se encuentra el cienfueguero Arquímedes Pous Vives, quien se destaca con la representación del personaje del negrito, junto al gallego y la mulata, caracterizándose por el exceso de recursos en la escenografía. Por estas razones se le considera “El negrito por excelencia del teatro bufo cubano”.

ABSTRACT

The Cuban buffo theatre, is a theatrical expression that emerges after an extended period of historical gestation in which the elements, that in the philosophical planes political and cultural awareness of nationality together with those who would shape their particular artistic, form. The buffo was a satirical and parodist theatre that attended the scene rather than the literary text. Among the greatest exponents of our country is the Arquímedes Pous Vives, from Cienfuegos, who stands out with the representation of the character of the black man, together with the Galician and the mulatta woman, characterized by the excess of resources in the scenery. For these reasons, it is considered par excellence, the black man of the Cuban Buffo Theatre.
