Abstract

The theories contributed by authors from different social, historical and scientific contexts are appreciated in the editorial layout that corresponds to the teamwork of specialists, cooperating equitably for a common achievement: dissemination of scientific results on execution platforms (printed or virtual), according to the particularities of the institutions associated with the editorial process of the materials required for their subsequent publication. Therefore, it is important to conceive a theoretical analysis, at least, as up-to-date as possible of the points of view that link graphic design, since it is not new in the field of sciences, as an option to be evaluated by all the specialists integrated in an editorial team to unify the quality of scientific publications together with the models that correspond to graphic visibility,  visual and communicative aspects of scientific journals, and thus, contribute to satisfaction, in a general way, in the aspects involved in each of the specialized tasks. The qualitative methodology, of a theoretical and empirical nature, was used to point out the main issues that carry out the editorial layout, based on the experiences and knowledge of the designer when facing this work in the materialization of scientific journals. It was supported by a series of audiovisual materials and online platforms with the purpose of expanding knowledge to contribute to the application of the reflections obtained from the study carried out. Which turned out to be an adequate contribution to the designer's performance.
