Nicolás Guillén: caminando por su obra poética y humanista 120 años

Resumen

El propósito de este artículo es realizar una caracterización en síntesis biográfica, de algunos rasgos sobre la vida y obra de Nicolás Guillén, nuestro Poeta Nacional y una de las figuras de la literatura más reconocidas de Cuba internacionalmente, de las máximas exponentes de la poesía negra y vanguardista. Esta caracterización se realizó a partir del examen de una revisión en varias fuentes que incluyen análisis de su obra, biografías y de otros documentos. Los resultados permitieron identificar la producción literaria de Nicolás Guillén en el ámbito del posmodernismo y que la afianzó en el de las experiencias vanguardistas de los años veinte, en cuyo contexto se convirtió en el representante más destacado de la poesía negra o afroantillana.

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this article is to make a characterization in biographical synthesis, of some features about the life and work of Nicolás Guillén, our National Poet and one of the most internationally recognized literary figures of Cuba, one of the greatest exponents of black and avant-garde poetry. This characterization was carried out from the examination of a review in several sources that include analysis of his work, biographies and other documents. The results allowed the identification of Nicolás Guillén's literary production in the postmodernism sphere and that he strengthened it in the avant-garde experiences of the 1920s, in which context he became the most outstanding representative of black or Afro-Antillean poetry.
