Abstract

In today's digital age, mobile applications have radically transformed the way entrepreneurs and micro businesses manage their operations and promote their products. This research analyzed the impact of mobile applications on the management and growth of businesses and microbusinesses in Ecuador. It has even focused on evaluating how these technologies contribute to the financial control, product promotion, and operational efficiency of emerging businesses. To achieve this, a mixed methodology was used that combined bibliographic review with qualitative and quantitative analysis of data obtained from local entrepreneurs. On the other hand, the existing barriers and challenges are identified when applying the PESTEL tool in the study. The results revealed that mobile applications play a crucial role in improving the financial control of entrepreneurs, by facilitating more efficient management of income, expenses, and cash flows. In addition, these technological tools have proven to be effective in increasing the visibility and reach of the products offered by microenterprises, by favoring more effective marketing and sales strategies. In terms of operational efficiency, mobile applications optimize inventory management, orders, and customer service. So, they provide an improved experience for both users and business owners. Finally, it has been concluded that there is a need to overcome technological and economic barriers for a broader adoption of these technologies. As well as the importance of policies that encourage their effective implementation in the Ecuadorian business environment.
