Behavior of sensorimotor coordination in older adults aged 70-75 years.
Abstract
Motor coordination is the possibility of executing actions that involve a diverse range of movements in which the activity of certain segments, organs or muscle groups and the inhibition of other parts of the body are involved. For this reason, the objective of this research was to assess the behavior of sensorimotor coordination in older adults (70-75 years old) of the Hasta la Victoria Siempre grandparents' circle in Cienfuegos. The methodology used was the mixed approach, with a non-experimental, longitudinal panel design, using several methods such as historical-logical, analytical-synthetic, inductive-deductive, document review and measurement. Another method used was the mathematical statistical method to collect data on the behavior of sensorimotor coordination. The population consisted of 23 older adults aged 70-75 years. The results showed that there are insufficient methodological orientations to improve sensory-motor coordination in older adults and it was found that the population under study is evaluated as fair and poor in more than 90%, where they present greater difficulties is in the manual-ocular and audio-motor coordination.
