Abstract

Establishing harmonious and assertive relationships within the families of young children is both a necessity and a challenge at this educational level, where communication and socialization based on mutual respect are essential. Given the challenges faced by families of preschool children in the municipality of Cienfuegos, and under the coordination of the project "Education and Culture of Peace against Violence for Sustainable Development in School, Family, and Community Contexts," this research aims to mediate conflict resolution between parents and children through assertive communication in the families of 4- to 5-year-olds, utilizing the family preparation programs offered by educational institutions. The use of qualitative research techniques allowed researchers to assess the families' level of preparedness on this topic and identify their strengths and weaknesses in this area, ultimately providing effective solutions to the existing problems.
