Promotion and education of health from the education works in the career of Medicine; Cienfuegos, Cuba.

Abstract

The project, The promotion and education of the health from the process extensionista in the University of Medical Sciences in Cienfuegos, specifically in the career of Medicine, it demands that professors and students become main characters of their time, when participating in activities and scenarios inside of and outside of the university community, to be able to minimize the risks to the health and the propagation of illnesses. In this sense, the following project has as general objective: To develop the promotion work and prevention of health from the process extensionista in the career of Medicine, Cienfuegos. Methods: It bases their study revision of documents and application on the methodology investigation - action and participation starting from the interests of the students, diagnoses to achieve change of behaviors and the incorporation of practical in the students of the career of Medicine, through the formation, training and other stocks, where the students become promoters of health. Prospective results: to elevate the quality and expectation of life and the maintenance of healthy atmospheres in the university community, endowing to the professional futures in medicine to be actors of the promotion and education of health, with the individual and collective responsibility that implies it.
