Healthy physical condition in students of Physical Culture of Cienfuegos University
Abstract
The objective of this research was to assess the healthy physical condition behavior of a group of students from the Physical Education program at the University of Cienfuegos. Ten young people of both sexes were taken as a sample, and a non-experimental, descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out. To collect information, interviews were conducted with the subjects studied and indicators were measured to evaluate the components of healthy physical condition, obtaining as a significant result that the kinan thropometric behavior was shown in ranges adequate for health in the group investigated and that there were differences according to sex in the anthropometric indices, as well as the grip strength, which was significantly higher in the male sex. The subjects investigated in general show frequent practice of physical activity, which had a positive influence on the results obtained.
