La universidad y su papel transformador en comunidades en situación de vulnerabilidad

Abstract

ABSTRACT

The transformative role of the university, assumed as the fulfillment of its social mandate, implies the participation of the university community in the solution of the most diverse social problems. In this context, the community stands as the basic unit where these transformations can be carried out, which allows university extension processes, closely linked to academic and research processes; serve as a way to contribute to the well-being and sociocultural development of communities, including communities in vulnerable situations. The purpose of this article is aimed at valuing the transformative role of the university in communities in vulnerable situations.
